This piece is a 14 x 14 haunting, but familiar place! It's a beautiful, moody piece - very atmospheric. It feels quiet, tall, and contemplative, almost like walking into a hushed forest corridor.
I started with a blue gray acrylic wash for the background, and then built up the foreground with gray and unbleached titanium. From there I added black and gray to create the buildings, but not too defined as I wanted them to be more fuzzy than perfect - just like in our memories!
