This acrylic paint and ink abstract is about a city more like a memory than of the city itself. The reflections and soft bleed give it a slightly melancholic, atmospheric feel.
As with all my paintings, I start with an acrylic wash to create the ethereal, almost cloud like background. Then I come back in with more bold shades of the acrylics and create the images. For this one, I also used an acrylic ink pen to outline the city which defines the lines, and creates tension in the painting.
