The Vigil is a 12 x 15 abstract painting in gray, yellow ochre, and black acrylic paints along with black acrylic ink for the tree design. I custom matted it in black with a black frame for drama.
The bare tree, the soft but dramatic yellow light, and the misty gray slope give it a bold, yet contemplative energy. It's a quiet tree waiting in an arc of emotion.
