Urban Glow is one of my favorite paintings, because it combines the big "sweep" of the initial color, an unbleached titanium acrylic wash which anchors the painting, with a city "memory" which happens unintentially, but often! The city image is in a crimson/orange mix of acrylic paint, along with raw umber and the shadows or "fogginess" are from an oil crayon. This 24" x 48" painting is on 1 1/2" thick gallery wrapped canvas is warm, powerful, sophisticated, urban, and quietly hopeful.
