Painted Warmth is an original abstract painting on a 16 x 40", 1 1/2" deep gallery wrapped canvas. I started with a coral acrylic wash for my base swipe, then layered with more coral, peach, burnt orange, unbleached titanium, a dab of pink, alizarin crimson acrylic paints, and a burnt orange acrylic ink. A broad, sweeping coral brushstroke flows across the canvas like a wave or a gust of wind, creating a strong sense of motion and unity. Vertical geometric forms rise from the composition at varying heights, giving the impression of pillars, architectural fragments, or distant figures.
